Many Indigenous reserves are faced with aging, post-war homes that pose health hazards, especially in the North, where stick homes quickly degrade because of the weather.  Yet new builds are often out of reach because of the prohibitive costs of sending up a labour crew and building materials.

Plus, all of us are worried about the future of the planet and our local ecosystems, with young people especially demanding sustainable practices, like buildings and businesses with a low carbon footprint.
